Our Story
Nathan saw an Asian girl at church, and it was game over.
KIDDING. But, really...
Jeane... for the record, it's not pronounced "Jean". Nor is it spelled with two "Ns". If you didn't know that, why are you even here 😜.
ANYWAY, she moved to Columbia from Texas in 2021. She started going to Christian Life Church. She immediately fell in love with the strong doctrine and the Spirit's presence there and kept attending, but she was not plugged in because of work and school. Nathan noticed her from afar but did not make a move 🐓.
Moving forward, it's January 2022. Jeane is done with school and started plugging in the church. Nathan and Jeane attended the same small group and started talking. Nathan would not leave Jeane alone at church.
It's July 2022. Jeane had a week off and made Rendang (Indonesian beef) to share with her friends. Nathan received a bag and took this as an opportunity to make her a chocolate pie FROM SCRATCH. Jeane was speechless and decided to go on one (1) date with Nathan. Well, that first date ended up being a 5-hour lunch after church. Jeane went to the date hungry and left the date hungry again.
5 dates later, we became official (about time)! 🎉
So, what started the romance? IT WAS THE PIE 🍫🥧... and a lot of prayers from our friends and family. We thank you for helping us get where we are today. There's no doubt the Lord's hand has been present in our journey together.
